Description:
Complexity of Ironies: shadow, mantis and cyborg is a research-based project about hatred and ironies that emerge within ‘our complex relationships.’ It aims to deconstruct the notion of hatred and relationality by using the function of irony. The Project invites us to rethink the idea of ‘coexistence’ through the following sentence: ““We require each other even to hate each other.””
Three fictional pieces - Shadow, Mantis, and Cyborg -expand the context of the project by deconstructing the boundaries between subjectivity and objectivity and reinterpreting the notion of "otherness””.Together, they help articulate the concept of complex relationality, particularly shaped by hatred, and reformulate the question: "How should we hate the things that live with us?"
